The Doctrine of truth, life, sin and death.

Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. Hebrews 13:9.

When Adam was first brought into life and consciousness, God made himself known to him as the God of life. The instructor in righteousness. The God of his word declared and warned Adam," On the day you disobey me, you shall die. In order word, God says to Adam, if you choose to observe what you’ve been told not to do, you will live, but if you transgress my word, you’ll die. Deuteronomy 32:4.

God is very observant of his word and performs them. He means whatever he says, and says whatever he will do. Jeremiah 1:2.

In the Garden of Eden, God is seen as the God of life and death. His doctrine was about the truth of life, sin and death, established by obedience or disobedience.

Everything is good for eating except the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Satan debunked the doctrine of truth, life, sin and death. He assured them safety if they should disobey God. He promised them life if they should go against the warning of God, but Adam found out that God was true, and his words and threat are not empty words and threats. Note: those who doubt the immutability of God’s word; its power, promises and warnings by walking and living contrary to them jeopardize and gamble with their immortality - eternal life.

God kills and makes us alive. Deuteronomy 32:39. How could this good God kill us after all this goodness, glory, power and dominion he has bestowed upon us in the Garden?

How could this good and merciful God send anyone to hellfire?

Contrary to the deception of Satan to contradict the truth from God that they shall die, three different deaths are activated as the effects of Adam's sin (a) Spiritual death, the immediate effect of the sin, the present state of man's separation from God, except he is born again (b) Physical death, the additional punishment of disobedient to God's word (c) Eternal or second death in hell fire, the future eternal separation from God if there is no reparation by redemption from the sin.

Adam and Eve’s eyes were only opened to the goodness of God, but their ears were closed to his word and warning. Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. For I give you good doctrine; forsake ye not my law. For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother. He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Proverbs 4:1-6.

God is saying," Look here, Adam, I have given you everything, but now, I ‘m giving you my word.

God is the truth. Everything about him is the truth. True to himself, the only true God. True to his creatures and creations created by his eternal truth. Truth is what God is. Truth is what we were made in Christ Jesus to become because of his own will he begat us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures. James 1:18.

O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles. Psalms 43:3.

Instantly, Adam lost the three most important things for his rebellion against the truth. He lost his spiritual life, which is the divine nature, the connection between him and God. He loses his spiritual light, the God that lightens his path, his light and salvation. You can imagine Adam hiding from God, for he also lost his spiritual liberty.

Those who are walking away from the truth, the undiluted word of God, have dogged their own grave to remain in the congregation of the dead. Proverbs 21:16.

If you walk away from the truth, you're walking away from the life of God. You restrict your own liberty in Christ Jesus. Truth doesn’t lead to bondage but set free from it. Truth keeps you in the light, but all those who walk away from the truth walk into obscurity, going down to hell. Note: the present and eternal worth of your life is valued according to your riches in God in Christ Jesus based on the possession and application of truth, - your understanding of the mysteries of the kingdom, and what you are doing with them - buy the truth and do not sell it. Proverbs 23:23.

If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed. John 8:31.

Adam refused to understand that his preservation in love, goodness, mercy, power and daily fellowship with God were conditional on his continuation and perseverance in the word of instruction received from God not to eat from the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil.

God didn't preach about his love in the Garden, but demonstrated to Adam what love is. God didn't preach his goodness to Adam, but showed his goodness to accommodate him inside the beautiful Garden, full and rich of all good things for his sustenance. God never asked him to fast and pray for power and authority, but Adam was given the ability to give names to everything created and to rule over them. What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: all sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; the fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. Psalms 8:4-8. But God showed himself to Adam as the God of justice and judgment if he should disobey him. Adam took divine justice for granted by willful disobedience and instantly died spiritually, - he that despises the word will be destroyed. Proverbs 13:13.

Whatever Adam had lost is restored back to us in Christ Jesus.

God’s goodness leads us to repentance. Romans 2:4. God’s love was demonstrated once again to us, that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8.

Divine power is given as soon as we receive Jesus as our Lord and personal Savior to become sons of God. We are now heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. We are now complete in Christ, who is the head over principality and power. Colosians 2:10.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. John 15:9-12. Note: mindful observation and continuation in the truth shall keep us as God’s precious jewel. Keep yourself in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Jude 1:21.

The believer's assurance of salvation is in his continuation in the love of God requires him to abide in the doctrine of truth. And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, that, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Whosoever transgress, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: for he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. 2 John 1:6-11.

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: for he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continue therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. James 1:21-25.

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. John 1:17. Truth can not be separated from the true grace of God wherein you should stand, separating from the truth, you are lost forever. 1 Peter 5:12.

Adam was warned, on the day you failed or ignored to heed and submit to my word, on that day you'd die. This is where the doctrine of sin and death was revealed.

Adam's eyes were opened as the serpent promised, but not to the reality of any good thing, but of their separation from God by their sin. And Jesus said," For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. And some of the Pharisees who were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? Jesus said unto them, if ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, we see; therefore your sin remaineth. John 9: 39-41. Note: you are still in your sins, spiritually blinded if the word of God is not the lamp and the light by which walk and see. If God’s word is not tailored to think for us, we will go astray like a sheep without a shepherd.

God created light and darkness. Good and evil. He gave life to every living being. He made death a messenger of destruction.

Adam was alerted of death, but in reality, this was to inform him of the consequences of rebellion against truth. With truth comes life, but the absence of it brings darkness and death. To abide in the truth is to abide in life and light. To depart from the truth is to love darkness and death.

Jesus came that we might have life in abundance, but he preached and warned us several times of the damnation of hell almost in every teaching of his.

Every sound doctrine of truth reveals its blessing and the consequences of ignoring its warnings. Therefore, we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time, we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward; how shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? Hebrews 2:1-4.

God is against you if by any means you hold back the truth from your neighbor. Owe nothing to anyone except to love. Romans 13:8.This love’s debt could only be paid by speaking the truth in love, that we may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ. Ephessians 4:15.

There is nothing we can do against the truth, but for the truth. 2 Corinthians 13:8.

We are liar and murderers like Satan if, for whatever reason, we should hide the truth from one another. You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. John 8:44-47. Note: every man shall bear his own burden, but many shall be found guilty, condemned and eternally destroyed for others' sins because of their sweet and flattering tongue, deceitful and misleading words, just as Adam and Eve were left to face the music of their rebellion, and Satan was forever cursed for his evil influenced on them. Likewise, Balaam was killed for his false doctrine, despite the death of twenty-three thousands Israelis occasioned by such false and erroneous teachings. - Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. Acts 20:26-27.

Adam and Eve lusted and showed interest in the offers of the serpent. You shall be like God. Your eyes shall be opened, knowing good and evil. You shall not die. Those are false doctrines. It is a rebellious doctrine against the truth which destroys the inner man (the life of God) and leads to sin and death, - they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High. Psalms 107:11.

Rejection and resistance against sound doctrine commenced from the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve preferred to listen to the serpent’s teachings and indoctrination after their own lusts. Deliberate rebellion against the doctrine of truth and life is sure to increase in the last days. And this is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hate the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3:19-21.

We must be established in the present truth, rooted and grounded in it. 2 Peter 1:12. Departure from the truth is a departure from God for the doctrine of demons. 1 Timothy 4:1-5.

Departing from truth is the change of loyalty from one master to another master, God or Satan. It is a change of spiritual state from the state of spiritual life to the state of spiritual death. Note: the lifestyle and conduct of a believer’s life should be the manifestation of truth. 2 Corinthians 4:2.

If a believer is not rooted and grounded in the truth of God’s word, he makes himself vulnerable and a prey to the unlearned and false teachers, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive. Ephesians 4:14.

To this end I was born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Everyone that is of the truth hears my voice. John 18:37.

If you don’t know the principles of lifestyles between Christ and the kingdom of God from the kingdom of this present world, you won’t be able to differentiate between godliness, worldliness and ungodly lusts, which easily open doors to demons in your life.1 John 2:15-17.

Satan brought worldliness to Adam and Eve in the Garden. They obeyed the doctrine of worldliness and were sent out of the Garden into the world governed by Satan where he rules as a god over the children of disobedience: I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 2 Timothy 4; 1-4.

Those who are walking in truth must have renounced hidden things of dishonesty. They shall not walk in craftiness to beguile others as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtility. 2 Corinthians 11:3. They shall not handle the word of God deceitfully, to add or remove from it, they will not, but will do anything and everything for the truth’s sake.  They will speak the truth and live by it as those who shall be judged by the law of liberty. Note: you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32. Why did the truth reveal to Adam by God never freed him from the deception of Satan? The truth is very powerful, but the truth known is ineffective and insufficient if we don’t apply it.

Sanctify them through thy truth, thy word is truth. John 17:17.

The truth is sanctified only through practical obedience. The application of the word through obedience activates the power of the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus, but disobedience to the word activates the law of sin and death. Romans 8:2.

These are the laws God presented before Adam in the Garden. The moment he disobeyed God, Adam activated the law of sin and death, not only in his life, but in the entire human race: wherefore, as by one man, sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. Romans 5:12.

If Adam had made himself strong for the truth in the Garden, he would have gotten victory over Satan like Jesus overcame the tempter in the wilderness.

Remember that Jesus' temptation was shortly after his forty-day fast. You must wage war through prayer, fasting and diligent obedience against your flesh with its affections and lusts lest you be conquered by it and send you to hell.

If you don’t practically nail your carnal lusts and unholy affections to the cross to triumph over them; those lustful desires, if gratified, will take you to hell. Let no man say, when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil; neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. James 1:13-15.

This is the reason you’ve been given the power of the Holy Spirit to combat and resist the lusts and sins that dwell in you in the world, because they wage war against your soul. You must overcome them if you want to make heaven. Galatians 5:16-17. 1 Peter 2:11.

Adam and Eve possessed the very life of God, his divine nature. 2 Peter 1:3-4.

They were made alive spiritually until they fell by their lusts. You can be born again and go to hell at the end if you don't walk in the spirit. Though in Christ Jesus you have a divine nature, you shall not escape the corruption that is in the world through lust if you don’t walk in the spirit, - to walk consciously in obedience to the word of God, - to mortify through the spirit, the works of the flesh, that you might live, not fashioning yourself according to the former lust in your ignorance. 1 Peter 1:14.
