Therefore, leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. Hebrews 6: 1-2.
Among the foundational doctrines of Christ are found the doctrine of eternal judgment calling believers’ awareness and understanding to the inevitable accountability and recompense or rejection of his stewardship for serving the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as if you are working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3;23-24.
Self-conscious reminder and awareness of this foundational doctrine of eternal judgment will help each believer to strive lawfully for the mastery he was saved and called to obtain, the price of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. If we are not saved by Christ as a helpless sinner on earth before death, he is awaiting to receive us as hardened spiritual criminals in the court of heaven as judges with the power to sentence death to hell fire prepared for Satan and his demons — do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out; those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned. John 5;28-29. Click to read the futility of good works without regeneration and holiness to make heaven.
God is the righteous judge who judged the sin of man in Christ Jesus, but will judge anyone in Christ Jesus for their sin by Christ Jesus if they failed in their conscious and dutiful application of the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus, which was set in motion to set them free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8;2. In Christ Jesus, God reconciled himself to the world through Christ's atonement death for the sins of the world, but will manifest his eternal wrath against sin by the same son whom he raised from death and has appointed him to be the Savior of those that believed and sincerely changed or judged all the lips service worshipers and unbelievers. Acts 17;31.
Judgment shall start from the house of God; the Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:30–31.
God will judge the adulterers and adulteresses. Hebrews 13:4.
Whosoever defiles the temple of God, him shall he destroy, for the temple of God is holy, and you are the temple. The gays, lesbians and everyone that defiles the flesh should expect the vengeance of eternal fire and the reward of sowing to the flesh; for if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; and spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them a sample unto those that after should live ungodly. 2 Peter 2;4-6.
He will judge the sinners in Zion and the sinners of his people shall die and perish by the sword of eternal vengeance. Amos 9;10. God would judge the hypocrites who refused to remove the beam out of his eyes but sought after removing the mote out of his brother’s eyes. Therefore, thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judges: for wherein thou judge another, thou condemn thyself; for thou that judges do the same things. But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. And think thou this, O man, that judges them which do such things, and does the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? Or despise thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and long-suffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasures up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; who will render to every man according to his deeds. Matthew 7;3-5. Romans 2;1-6.
If the righteous are scarcely saved, where shall the sinners and ungodly appear? 1 Peter 4;18. God shall judge the righteous in Christ Jesus if their righteousness meets with the prerequisites required, as it is expected to exceed the righteousness of the scribes and of the pharisees for a believer to make heaven. Matthew 5;20.
Christ is now walking in the midst of the seven candlesticks evaluating the spiritual life and works of everyone in the church. Some for whom he died shall have their names removed from the book of life which speaks of Christ present and eternal displeasure against them for their false profession and misrepresentation of him on earth. Some shall he spew out of his mouth and shall no more be his for their spiritual instability and inconsistency in him.
Many in the church shall Christ sentence to the second death, which is hell fire, because of their complacency, their devotion to pleasure mammon, and their stomach as gods over Christ. The end of these men of perverse minds, who supposed that gain is godliness, is eternal destruction; from them, you should turn away. Their judgment has long been pronounced, and their eternal damnation has long been prepared; but there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of which the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingered not, and their damnation slumbered not. 2 Peter 2;1-3.
Faithfulness in any little or great resources made available by Christ, upon which we are called to diligently utilize to advance his cause on earth, shall be richly rewarded. Christ will judge and send the unfaithful, unprofitable and unfruitful servants of his to hell for eternity. How can any escape the vengeance of eternal damnation if they cause anyone of whom Christ died for to go astray though they are equally saved by him? Shall they not descend fast into hell — drowning with a millstone which emphasizes the gravity of such an action? If, in any way or manner, is a stumbling stone or occasion of fall to any believer, how can we escape the damnation of hell? Woe unto the world because of offenses. Matthew 18;6.
The overcomers in Christ Jesus have chosen to live a gospel life through a daily cross-bearing lifestyle in Christ Jesus. Philippians 1;27. The overcomers will not tread the broad way and the wide gate which leads to eternal destruction that many believers in Christ Jesus are falsely taking to heaven by which they are self-condemned. The true overcomers have chosen the unpopular hard - narrow way and straight gate to get to heaven. Christ will judge and condemn believers who are walking in the flesh and not in the spirit, for by sowing to the flesh, they are crucifying him again on the cross, bringing him to an open shame, and they shall reap corruption, eternal ruin and damnation for their ungodly lifestyles – having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof. 2 Timothy 3;1-5.
We know the eternal fate of the wicked, and of the nations that forget God that they shall be turned into hell. Psalms 9;17. Note: those who are exceptionally spared from eternal judgment and vengeance of hell fire are the little children of believers or unbelievers alike who died before the age of accountability. Theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Who shall lay any charge against the elects of God? No one. But let those who are washed, forgiven, sanctified, and justified by Jesus be mindful of their walk and of their ways, turning their feet away from sin and all evil; for the Lord will bruise the hoary heads of his enemies who will not do his will, and of whosoever continues in their iniquities. Psalms 68;21. Psalms 119;59.
For those who are not presently forgiven and acquitted of their sins by the blood of Christ are under the condemnation of eternal judgment because they do not believe in the testimony given by God concerning his son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 1 John 5;11-13.
Through the spirit given unto us, that is, his divine power for the building, growth and manifestations of his divine nature in us, believers should deny all ungodliness and worldly lusts, to live soberly and righteously in all godliness, otherwise, the effects of the cross [ eradication of sin. Romans 6:6] shall be made of none effect in his life. More also, of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden underfoot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? Note: how can any person enter into eternal peace and rest when the blood that sanctifies to prepare and qualify them for heaven is treated with contempt by a persistent corruptible lifestyle? If we do not avail ourselves of the present grace, teaching and empowering us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, God is going to execute the judgment written to unleash his wrath against all unrighteousness and ungodliness of men in the world, especially them who hold the truth in unrighteousness. Romans 1;18.
As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: but as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons, judges according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Seeing ye have purified your souls by obeying the truth through the Spirit unto the unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides forever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withered, and the flower thereof falleth away: but the word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. 1Peter 1; 15-27.
Your witness is in heaven and your record is on high. Job 16;19. There is a judgment: be afraid of the sword of eternal vengeance. Job 19;29.
False and prosperity preachers should be ready for what is awaiting them at death for eternity. Nothing unclean shall enter into the holy eternal abode of God - Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; but was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbid the madness of the prophet. These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved forever. 2 Peter 2;14-17.
As believers in Christ Jesus, the only way to avoid the condemnation and damnation of hellfire is to walk in the spirit, and through the indwelling spirit of God, we should put to death the things or works of the flesh to live eternally with God, otherwise, we shall die, meaning, the second death. Romans 8;5-13.
Shall God or Christ spare any believer saved and called to walk and please God in righteousness and true holiness if he persistently walks as the Gentiles in the blindness of their minds? Should he be spared from the wrath to come if he has not saved himself from this evil and perverse generation in separation from the corruption that is in the world through lust? Those who will rest eternally with God labor through faith, not only to enter into his present rest, but into their eternal rest by their steadfast upright walk and lifestyle; the work of righteousness shall be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. Isaiah 32;17.
Those who will get to heaven balance and judge their life on the scale of scripture – self-examination and evaluation. There is no need to wish a rest in peace to a dead fellow. How much do you think you know about his good or bad secret works before death? His eternal rest depends on two things. [1]. If he has a pure heart and clean hands in Christ Jesus, he shall see God." Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might. The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? He that walketh righteously, and speaks uprightly; he that despises the gain of oppressions, that shake his hands from holding of bribes, that stop his ears from hearing of blood, and shut his eyes from seeing evil; he shall dwell on high: his place of defense shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure. Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off. Isaiah 33; 13-17. [2]. At death, every man’s works shall follow after them, as some men sin awaiting or following after them to heaven. There is no forgiveness after death, but judgment. Whatever prayer or weeping for anyone should be done while they are alive, because it will be too little and too late to wish a rest in peace for a soul whose life saddened the soul of God while he lives. The unrepentant sinners, as well as the backsliders in the church shall go into eternal perdition. Hebrews 10:39.
Your final destination is either everlasting life or everlasting fire in a place where their worms do not die, and the fire never quenches. God has not called us unto wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Any believer who by grace partakes in the first resurrection is called blessed and holy. Such have escaped the eternal wrath of the Lamb and of his God. Revelation 20;6.
Everything about God is eternal. After death, everything shall be eternal, heaven or hell; as therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. Matthew 13;40-43.
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which cannot be seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4;18. Note: If we truly long for eternal consolation and great rewards from the realm which we cannot access now, let us also, like Moses, choose to live for God and make every decision in prospective and in favor of life afterward; by faith, Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward. Hebrews 11:24-26.
Life is very short on this side of the planet. Physical death ushers us into eternity of unending life in the paradise of heaven or in hell for the suffering of eternal vengeance. There are good or bad eternal rewards for each one of us according as our works shall be. The fact is this, without holiness, no man shall see God. Good works without holiness to get to heaven are a vanity tossed here and there of them that seek the wrath of eternal death and vengeance of the righteous judgment of God." Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment. Ecclesiastes 11; 9.
