The cracking of fools in the church.

Posted by Apostle Emmanuel Adebiyi on 25 December 2021

Desecration and pollution of the altar — the cracking of fools in the church.

I said of laugher it is mad: and of mirth, what doeth it? Ecclesiastes 2:2.

For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fool: this also is vanity. Ecclesiastes 7:6.

Nimes 11 – 9 –21

Note: useless or vain people get themselves involves with other vain people as well as in useless or vain things and activities. The totality of the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost (Rom 14:17), yet, the church is not, and should not be as an amusement park for the cracking of fools where a mad man is making others mad with laughter by being jovial or comic by his entertaining words and performances.

There is nothing laughable in the life we are saved and called to live for God in Christ Jesus for the race set that is set before us to heaven – the pilgrim journey in the highway of holiness – the spiritual battle we are called upon to engage, and to stand still, having done all to stand, to stand. To go about or go a-head to mimic the life of an unbeliever or to the labor of love and the works of faith of any brethren in the Lord as pleasurable and laughable season of amusement of happy hour in order to entertain or make people feel good in the church is classified under the sin of uncleanness such as fornication or idolatry which bear the same measure of punishment — condemnation: but fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becomes saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye (don’t participate to sit to laugh with mockers. Psalms 1:1) therefore partakers with them. Ephesians 4: 4 – 7.

Satan, like an angel of light counterfeits the gifts of the Holy Spirit to deceive people of the world, but there exists people among us in the church today who are counterfeiting or falsifying hilarious spirit into spiritual gift or ministry of a comedian in the body of Christ. The cracking and laughter of fools is noisy and showy, short-lived — sinful pleasure as good as the burning of thorns under a pot, which makes a great noise and a great blaze, for a little while, but is gone presently, scatters its ashes, and contributes scarcely anything to the production of a burning heat which requires a constant fire.

There is nothing funny in our spiritual life while the true gospel of Christ in the newness of life calls for sober mindedness and God’s mindedness in spiritually minded people with the tongue of the wise who are able to use knowledge rightly, not the cracking of a fool from the lips pouring out or uttering foolish things to make others laugh in the church. Prov.15:2.

It is a common saying in the world that you should forget your sorrow, dance and laugh (but even in laughter, the bible says that the heart of man is sorrowful, but when the laughter ends, the grief remains. Prov.14:13) to free your mind, but what else could possibly help the fools to remain in the perfect peace of mind in Christ Jesus if they are not careful for nothing, casting all their cares, worries and anxieties upun him that cares for them? So, what’s the use to bring in or to allow a mad fellow in the church to crack jokes?

Meanwhile, God has given us the remedy for our troubles and stressful or tumultuous life, situations and challenges in Christ Jesus when our Lord borne our grief and carried our sorrow by giving us the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness – a merry heart, meaning to rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say, rejoice (Philippians 4:4) do good like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bone. Prov. 17:22.

The cracking of fools for the laughter of fools is like relieving pain medication without dealing with the cause of the condition, which does not deal with the root of the problem to remove it. It is the character of a fool that his heart is in the house of mirth – under the cracking of fools, merry and jovial in merry stories, merry songs, and merry company: this is his folly – where his heart is found helps to make him more and more foolish. Ecclesiastes 7:4.

Except for healing and deliverance for his wellness, God will not open the door or give his platform for any madman – joke cracker to perform or dramatize his madness in his holy temple, much more that King Achish of the Philistines will not for a second tolerate the presence of David before him when he feigned madness to protect himself in their land: then said Achish unto his servants, lo, ye see the man is mad: wherefore then have ye brought him to me? Have I need of mad men, that ye have brought this fellow to play the mad man in my presence? Shall this fellow come into my house? 1 Sam. 21:14 – 15.

Christ is the chief corner stone of his church, while the early apostles and disciples’ are the foundation of the house we must follow after in the continuation of building anything in the kingdom of God. Could it be found anywhere written in the scripture that the Lord gave some to be comedians or humorists? Not even the ministry or gift of exhortation come close to the false gift and calling which some people seems to be exercising to pollute and desecrate the altar of God and the church of Christ today, whose presence and acceptance in some churches reveals the spirit working in such ministries, and the type of pastors such are who over the flock of God. 1 Cor. 2:12.

Believer’s word should be filled with grace and seasoned with salt to answer others – speaking and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns, not by cracking of fools that are defiling others with their silly talks and funny stories while standing on God’s holy altar to defile and pollute it with their pile of idle words which they shall be accountable for on the day of judgment if they don’t stop and repent now – and I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish (not to crack jokes) one another. Romans 14:15.

God has never and he will never endue or empower anyone in the body of Christ with the gift to be funny to provoke laughter. The indwelling spirit of God with wisdom and knowledge enables us to give or speak seasonable word to him that is weary — right words used the right way at the right time to lift up the downheartedness — a word fitly spoken (not the babbling of fools) is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. Isaiah 50:4. Prov. 25:11.

Whatever is written in the scripture were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope (Rom.15:4): there is nothing laughable or funny in the scriptures given to make us wise unto eternal life. Where is the reverence and godly fear of God in his holy temple when people gather together for the cracking of fools? God is love, but he’s not funny, neither is there anything laughable in his children, though they are made as spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men? 1 Cor.4:9. Psalms 22:7.

Spiritual people can sometimes look outwardly funny, being made as the filth of the world, the scum or trash of the universe (1 Cor.4:13), but there is nothing funny or trash about them: but if you make fun or trash of them, you might end up your life like the forty and two children which made fun of Elisha and were destroyed for their funny, but not laughable expression a bald-headed man – a cause causeless shall not come. Prov. 26:2.

Where ever you read from the bible that God laughed (he that sits in the havens shall laugh them — the wicked plots against the just, and gnashes upon him with his teeth. The Lord shall laugh at him: for he sees that his day is coming. Psa. 2:4: Psa. 37:13) is showing contemptuousness for the acts of the wicked, and the folly of the foolish for their insensitivity and unawareness to his grandeur and coming vengeance against their foolish doings. Psalms: 2:4.

What do these mad people in the church made of God and other human beings – believers and unbelievers alike when their so called gift is to reconstruct things or events and other people’s life just to satisfy the madness of their foolish listeners? As a mad man who casts firebrands, arrows, and death, so is the man that deceives his neighbor, and says, am not I in sport? Proverbs 26:18 – 19.

I said of laugher it is mad: and of mirth, what doeth it? Ecclesiastes 2:2. These so called Christian comedians are vain talkers, the hypocritical mockers in our feast in the house of our God (Psalms 35:16): is the house of God now a theatrical place of amusement and jokes, instead of a house of prayer, a place which should be given in attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine? 1 Tim.4:13.

We also have some comedian pastors who think that by making their hearers happy, they can win them over. You blind and self deceived shepherds, there is nothing laughable or funny from the sound doctrine of the sharp two– edged sword you are called upon to wield in preaching, except you are a flatterer, men’s pleasers and sweet talker which are part of the signs of false teachers of itching ear believers. Titus 1:2.

The church auditorium, pulpit, podium or altar is a holy platform to conduct preaching, teaching, doctrines of Christ, communion, wedding, worships and praise songs with the giving of testimonies to the goodness and faithfulness of God before his people. Are believer’s not called to provoke one another unto love and unto good works? But these Christians humorists, performers or the so called Christian comedians are cracking jokes before others in the church so as to provoke laughter for the happiness and appeasement of the onlookers and hearers. Whose interest, pleasure and will are they fulfilling? Satan of course, as the enemy is making a joker of the church inside the church in an open conformity to the world, seated as the amusement god of this world to share the altar consecrated for service and glory of the thrice God.

While the ungodly people in the world purchase ticket to sit under the foolish talker’s show in an organize place to make themselves happy and laugh for pleasure in their leisure; sadly enough, the carnal and sensual pastor invites and paid the foolish talker in the name of Christian comedian to come and make people to laugh and happy in the church. Is this where the joy of the Lord could be found? Certainly not! The joy of the Lord is a personal thing from the fruit of the Spirit in a believer. It is the operation and manifestation of the indwelling Spirit of God in his daily life and walk according to his growth in the cultivation of joy whose fruit is sweeten by his increasing submission and obedient to the word and will of God through the witness of the Spirit of God with his human spirit that he is right standing with God and there’s nothing condemning him – this is where the true joy of the Lord is always found, not from the foolish talker or jester who is operating under the condemnation of God alongside those whose are facilitating their operation in the church in talk and show which is not becoming saint.

Why should people in the church indulge themselves in what the bible describes as madness by jesting which is not convenience, upon whom the wrath of God is coming upon the children of disobedient? Note: spiritually broken men in the Lord are filled with the spirit of prayer and supplication, though the Lord will do great things for them and their mouth shall be filled with laughter (Psalms 126:2), but not the laugher from the cracking of fools — the outburst of laughter from the vain mirth and ungodly sensual pleasure ministration of the cracking of fools., but of the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living in all moderation and temperance of spirit known and seen by all men.

Is this not another form of a strange fire on the altar set up by the comedians and cracker jokers, courtesy of the foolish shepherd who seeks to be at ease in Zion? Have any forgotten what God did in the wilderness in the past against such that set up strange fire on the altar, even the two sons of Aaron? Whatever is forbidden in the scripture but is put to use or practice in the church is a form of a strange fire before God. Someone asked, so where are Christian comedians going to perform, if not to make us happy in the church? Poor soul, your joy is not in the jesting or foolish talking which is not convenience, but in keeping the word of God and walking in the fruit of the spirit. Well, to answer the simple question, if we can find calling and comical gift in the bible, then should their place of operation not difficult to find, if they truly belongs to the head — Christ whom the whole body fitly joint together and compacted by that which every joint supplies, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, to make increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. Ephesians 4:16.

From the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. The so-called Christian or church comedians only have filthy talks and jest filled up in the heart — the cracking of fools to impact, transfer or transmit into the spirits of their sensual and foolish hearers – be ye not partakers with them. Can anyone tell us two or three instances from the scripture where the apostle and high priest of our faith once laughed, though he might probably smiled for joy or gladness of heart? Psalms 92:4. Should we not walk in his steps, though we laugh, but not from the cracking of fools, but to laugh as Sarah once laughed because she was baffled and unprepared for the announcement and renewal of God’s promise of a son in her old age?

Believer is promised laugher of victory — celebration over the wicked. Job8:21. The righteous shall smile or laugh at the calamity coming shortly on the wicked and the proud doers as he observes their situation and the vengeance of God against them. Psalms 52:6.

God promised to make his children laugh (light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. Psalms 97:11), not by the intermediary of the false ministry of the cracking of fools we have in some churches today. Believers will have the last laugh in their future eternal state, though they are walking mournfully — humbly before him, and the proud is called happy (Malachi 3:14 – 15): blessed are you that weep now, for you shall laugh — woe unto you that laugh now, for you shall weep. Luke 6:21 – 25.

God promised the rejoicing of his children for the satisfaction of his protection over them when they shall see how they are well secured by him from all evil – at destruction and famine, you shall laugh, and neither shall thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth. Job 5:22. Does the scripture not say that sorrow is better than laugher: for by the sadness of countenance the heart is made better? Ecclesiastes 7:3.

Whatsoever is good for the soul by which our heart can be made better to be in a good disposition or placement of spirit before God should we seek after. Though it is disagreeable to sense, but the heart is made better by the sadness that appears in the countenance. Sadness is often a happy means of seriousness which makes the mind humble, meek and loose from the world, penitent or broken for sin, and careful of duty. Men and women who sigh, moan or groan (a long, deep audible exhalation expressing sadness, relief, tiredness, or similar.) before our God (and the Lord said unto him, go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. And to the others he said in mine hearing, go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eyes spare neither have ye pity. Ezekiel 9:4 – 5) every day and night for mercy in judgment against the wickedness, evil and sinfulness in the world are self– afflicted men of sorrow like their Lord – be afflicted and mourn, let your joy be turned into morning and your joy into heaviness. James 4:9.

It is the folly of sin – madness of laughter to think that we can find satisfactory joy and happiness by entertainment with merry humour, merry stories and jests and pleasantry fit to be laughed over, and all the bulls, and blunders, and foolish things we could hear of, fit to be ridiculed and laughed at – it is sensuality, carnality and worldliness upon which the wrath of God is coming upon the disobedience children, be ye not partakers with them. Jesting is not convenience for the saints and the cracking of fools is not pure for the heavenly bound soul, therefore think on what is pure and get serious with your spiritual life and ways as to walk and live as those who are called to inherit life to keep your mouth from coarse joking, foolish talking, mockery and every idle words.
